## Overview

CaseFile is a self-hosted FiveM resource. **Barry Good Games does not collect, receive, transmit, or have any access to data generated by CaseFile on your server.** All data remains exclusively on the server operator's own database.

## Who Is the Data Controller?

The **server operator** (the individual or organization that purchased and installed CaseFile) is the data controller for all player data collected through the script. Barry Good Games acts solely as a software vendor and has no role in the collection, storage, or processing of end-user data.

## What Data CaseFile Stores

When installed and operated, CaseFile stores the following information in the server operator's own MySQL/MariaDB database:

All data is written to tables prefixed `casefile_` in the server operator's database. No data leaves that database.

## What Barry Good Games Does Not Collect

- No telemetry, analytics, or usage data

- No player names, identifiers, or case content

- No server IP addresses or player counts

- No crash reports or error logs

## Server Operator Responsibilities

By installing CaseFile, the server operator assumes full responsibility for:

- Compliance with applicable privacy laws (GDPR, CCPA, etc.) as they pertain to their player base

- Informing players that case-related data (statements, names, identifiers) is stored persistently

- Providing players a means to request deletion of their data if required by applicable law

- Securing their database against unauthorized access

## Data Retention

CaseFile does not impose any automatic data retention or deletion policy. All records persist until the server operator manually deletes them or drops the database tables. Server operators are responsible for defining and enforcing their own retention policies.

## Purchaser Data (Tebex)

Purchase transactions, email addresses, and payment details are handled by **Tebex** under their own privacy policy. Barry Good Games receives only order confirmation sufficient to fulfill the license. Refer to Tebex's privacy policy for details on how they handle your purchase information.
